On the surface, all the Cowboys' 38-23 win Sunday proves is that they are better than the freefalling Eagles.
The Cowboys still hurt themselves with mistakes and penalties and sometimes just dumb football. But they did enough things right to win, and not by just a little.
It wasn't just about surviving the woeful Eagles, it was about surviving an entire week of turmoil.
After the week the Cowboys have gone through, the fact they can finish it by putting together a winning performance says they there's still hope for them at 4-5.
There's certainly hope in the nosediving NFC East where the Cowboys trail only the 6-4 Giants, who stumbled again against the Bengals.
If the Cowboys had stumbled through another loss to the Eagles, doom and gloom of last week would have intensified.
It started even before the Cowboys played the Falcons a week earlier, when news of Sean Payton's potential availability broke. The prospect of getting Payton away from the Saints intens...
BEST OF MAXIM
The Dallas Cowboys have saved their season for another week. On Sunday afternoon, they finally played some inspired football en route to a 38-23 whipping of lousy division foe, the Philadelphia Eagles. Dwayne Harris and the Cowboys ran away from the Eagles on Sunday, saving their season. In this game, the Cowboys got 3 TDs from other places besides their offense, as Dwayne Harris...
Normally I wouldn’t post a guy’s bare ass from a football game because we like women and don’t take enjoyment in looking at a man’s bare ass, especially a Cowboys’ ass. However, our female readership demands such videos, so here is Cowboys strong safety Eric Frampton getting depantsed against Philly.
Meanwhile, the Eagles got drilled 38-23, Michael Vick was knocked out...
The Dallas Cowboys can finally talk about the NFC East race, now that they are back in it.
A week ago, the Cowboys lost to Atlanta and speculation centered on whether Sean Payton might replace coach Jason Garrett. On Sunday, there was a report that Mike Holmgren might be interested if Garrett was out.
Garrett spent all week deflecting the Payton questions, and owner Jerry Jones...
Injured Dallas halfback DeMarco Murray might not be able to return for Week 11 according to Clarence Hill from the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.Fantasy Spin:Murray hasn't played since October 14th because of an injured foot. Felix Jones will continue to see most of the carries in the Cowboys' backfield while Murray remains sidelined.
Everything finally came together for the Cowboys Sunday in Philadelphia. Dallas scored touchdowns on offense, defense and special teams en route to a 38-23 victory over the Eagles.
Here are my thoughts on the Cowboys' fourth win of the season.
1.) Jason Garrett finally got the complete game effort he was seeking. The offense, defense and special teams weren't flawless by...
The Cowboys play the Eagles in a desperation game on Sunday and there is no question that both teams are in a real similar spot. I assume everyone has hashed and rehashed all of the Michael VickAndy Reid narratives up against the Jason GarrettTony Romo types and have noted how similar the season has been in both cities.
High expectations and low performances bring the two teams...
We’re seeing something this season very similar to what we have over the last five years in the quality of play from Tony Romo and Eli Manning during the month of November. For some odd reason, the performances over the last five years or so of these two elite quarterbacks have been closely compared but in November they seem to end up on opposite ends of the field. It turns out...
PHILADELPHIA -- Tony Romo threw two touchdown passes that kept Dallas even through three quarters.
Today’s showdown between the Philadelphia Eagles and Dallas Cowboys at Lincoln Financial Field marks a battle of desperation. Two organizations who entered the season with high expectations now see their teams sitting at a disappointing 3-5, with already slim chances of contending for a playoff spot on the line this week.
Both Philadelphia and Dallas are teams more similar than...
Dallas Cowboys coach Rob Ryan sported a very cool "Pat’s Kings Of Steaks" ad on his play calling sheet yesterday against the Philadelphia Eagles. Darren Rovell tweeted that Rob does it for fun and...

A change of ownership in the Cleveland Browns front office has left one experienced former head coach without a job when thw 2012 regular season concludes. Mike Holmgren, who has occupied an office in the Browns front office for the last few years will be a free agent at the conclusion of this season. Rumors have already surfaced about the possibility that Holmgren might join the...
And just like that, we could have a race in the NFC East division. The New York Giants lost their second straight game, while Dallas pulled away from Philadelphia – pulling the Cowboys within 1 in the Loss column, with the Giants heading into their bye week. Here is what we learned in Week 10 action among NFC East teams: The Cowboys areright in the thick of itBy virtue...
