Michael Gehlken of the Union Tribune San Diego reports that free agent OT Winston Justice is visiting with the Chargers on Monday.
The Chargers have been in contact with free agent offensive tackles since the draft concluded a few weeks ago. In fact, San Diego reportedly had a contract offer out to Bryant McKinnie before he ultimately re-signed with the Ravens. Justice and fellow free agent OT Eric Winston are really the only decent options still available, but the Chargers could really use help at left tackle and both players have played on the right side in recent years.
San Diego drafted D.J. Fluker, who was as a right tackle throughout the draft process, with the No. 11 overall pick, so maybe they believe he’s capable of being a blindside protector in the NFL.
We’ll have more regarding Justice and the Chargers as the news becomes available.
