Tyvon Branch knew he would be a part of the Oakland Raiders during the 2012 season when he signed his franchise tag tender in May. Now with a new four year deal signed, he will be a member of the Raiders and is focused on winning.
“I hoped that a deal would get done,” Branch said. “I love playing for the Raiders. It’s a great organization; I think we’re taking steps in the right direction and I want to be a part of it, so I wanted to get the deal done. I’m excited about it.”
Entering his fifth season with Oakland, Branch has been a standout in the secondary for the last three seasons. He has started every game during those years and has made over 100 tackles in each season. Because of his production, new head coach Dennis Allen is counting on Branch to become the leader of the defense.
