PLAYERS: Jay Cutler
TEAMS: Chicago Bears
Here it is! An eye-witness to the legendary Jay Cutler DON’T CARE bathroom incident. This is an exclusive interview, and to my knowledge, the first direct witness of this “event” to ever speak on the record. My source, who we’ll refer to moving forward as “The Informant,” has chosen to remain anonymous. After all, this is “sensitive subject matter.” Paul M. Banks: About the Jay Cutler “don’t care” story, willing to talk publicly about it? You can talk on the record and stay anonymous if you want. The Informant: Oh, when he came in to my work? Yeah I remember it. It was at Japonais. Banks: Someone was fawning all over him and did Jay cut him off by screaming: “don’t care?” Informant: I don’t know if I’d go as far to say scream it. But he definitely said it to a person trying to relate to him. Banks: So it took place at the Japonais bathroom, and the dude brought up Vanderbilt/SEC connections. True? Informant: This is true. Dude was trying to talk about how he knew someone who

  • What a waste of time. If anyone gets over excited during a preseason game, they know little of the sport.

Exclusive: Witness to Jay Cutler DON’T CARE story talks Monday

I tracked down an actual eye witness to the infamous Jay Cutler “DON’T CARE” bathroom incident. And I have his account in hand. Of course, today is a Sunday, and that’s a very slow traffic day. So it’ll have to wait for Monday. What time Monday? The hour when most people are opening their inboxes, or going online during their lunch breaks. And most editors are done with...

Bears demote J'Marcus Webb to 2nd team

J-Webb Nation is facing a coup now that the Bears have cranked up a competition at right tackle that was only talked about previously. J'Marcus Webb was demoted to the second team Sunday the first practice since he was beaten for a sack of Jay Cutler in one of 10 snaps for the quarterback in Friday's exhibition opener at Carolina. Coach Marc Trestman has referenced a competition...

Bears shift rookies Mills, Long into starting roles

Youth will be served during the first-year of new head coach Marc Trestman’s regime of the Chicago Bears. After watching sloppy offensive line play in the Bears preseason opener at Carolina, rookie right tackle Jordan Mills and first-round guard Kyle Long will line up with the first team in workouts and the second preseason game against San Diego at Soldier [...]

Cutler Wraps Up Camp

Check out what Bears quarterback Jay Cutler had to say after wrapping up the last day in Bourbonnais, Ill. for training camp.

Rookie MLB Jon Bostic is making a serious push to unseat D.J. Williams in the starting lineup.

While Williams has been out with a calf injury, Bostic is soaking up first-team practice reps. In the second round of the 2013 NFL Draft, Bostic was selected by the Bears with the 50th pick overall and he is considered the Bears' future at the position. Bostic’s mentorship under D.J. Williams has turned into a battle for the starting job. He started at middle linebacker against...

Bears to stay in Bourbonnais, Ill., 9 more years

The Chicago Bears will have training camp at Olivet Nazarene University in east-central Illinois into the next decade. The team and school announced a nine-year deal Monday. The Bears have been at the university in Bourbonnais (bur-boh-NAY') since 2002. This season the Bears have housed their weight room, indoor walk-throughs and personnel meetings at the campus' new Student...

What in the World Happened to Jeff Saturday?

When Brian Urlacher put the possibility of a comeback to bed a few weeks ago he said that the has not been working out and was no where near being in shape to play; not a surprise for a recently retired pro football player. You spend your life working out getting ready for the next season, but since there isn't one you can take a break. Not so for newly offensive lineman Jeff...

Chicago Bears: 6 Bold Predictions For 2013

The Chicago Bears are a team in serious need of some added audacity.Since the end of Mike Ditka’s memorable tenure, the team has been left to meander around the ranks of mediocrity for much of the last two decades. The Bears often avoid bottom-feeder status, but they’re even less frequently placed in the conversation of top-tier teams in any given year. For all their pride, their...

Chicago Bears Preseason Opener Gives Glimmer of Hope, Plenty to Work On

Welcome to the NFL preseason, where mainly scrubs play and the score doesn’t matter.  That’s right, the score doesn’t matter, just like a Green Bay Packers stock certificate. Last Friday night the Carolina Panthers “defeated” the Chicago Bears 24-17 in a game where the two starting quarterbacks combined to throw the ball 14 times.  Since […]The post Chicago Bears Preseason...

Jon Bostic pushing for starting linebacker job with Bears

DJ Williams looked like he would be the heir to Brian Urlacher in Chicago when the Bears signed him in the offseason. But after the Bears first preseason game, rookie linebacker Jon Bostic could very well take over that starting middle linebacker position come week one of the regular season. A second round pick out of the University of Florida, Bostic returned an interception of...

Curtis Brinkley Lands in Chicago

Newly signed running back Curtis Brinkley will have a chance to win the No. 3 spot behind Matt Forte and Michael Bush.Fantasy Spin:Brinkley will have to beat out Armando Allen, but Allen is currently sidelined with a hamstring injury. Brinkley did nothing in his opportunities with the Chargers over the past two seasons to make any fantasy contribution likely unless the Bears'...
