BY NICK ST. DENISE.J. Manuel completed a handful of critical passes in the Buffalo Bills' last-minute game-winning drive Sunday. But a certain incomplete pass may have been the most critical of all.Manuel connected with Stevie Johnson, C.J. Spiller and Fred Jackson on his first three attempts of the final drive -- two of which moved the chains -- and he went to Jackson again on the fourth. Jackson could've made the catch, but he was in the middle of the field and would've gained, in his words, a yard at most.So Jackson intentionally dropped the pass, preserved the time, and Buffalo went on to win in the final seconds. The 10-plus seconds a completed pass would have eaten up could've been the difference between victory and defeat."That’s a great play by him. That kind of shows what type of dude Fred Jackson is for us," Bills offensive lineman Eric Wood told reporters Monday. "A guy that can really do anything for us. He’s probably the best chipper and pa...

E.J. Manuel is continuing to show folks that the Bills were correct in making him the first quarterback selected in the 2013 NFL Draft.
Manuel had a solid game against the Panthers, and led the Bills on an 80 yard drive with 1:36 left in the game. Manuel capped his day off by throwing the game winning touchdown to Stevie Johnson.
Manuel was so overwhelmed, he cried tears of joy.
Ken Mastrole had a preseason cup of coffee in the NFL before playing quarterback in NFL Europe and the Arena Football League. Now he runs a passing camp in which he teaches quarterbacks like Bills rookie EJ Manuel to have incredible, almost unbelievable, footwork.
Is this real? It can’t be. Can it? Nah.
Trailing 23-17 with 1:38 remaining, rookie quarterback EJ Manuel drove the Buffalo Bills 78 yards down the field, and then hit Stevie Johnson for a two-yard touchdown pass with two seconds remaining to tie the game 23-23. An extra point from Dan Carpenter sealed the victory over the Carolina Panthers.
The Buffalo Bills rebounded from a heartbreaking loss to the New England Patriots with a comeback of their own against the Carolina Panthers.
With 1:38 remaining in the game, the Buffalo Bills found themselves losing 23-17. It was E.J. Manuel’s first chance to win a game in a two-minute offense and he didn’t disappoint. The drive started with a completion to Stevie Johnson for...
If you weren’t watching the Buffalo Bills game it is a shame. Rookie quarterback EJ Manuel came back with 1:30 left on the clock and drove his team for a winning drive. Manuel made the drive look so easy, after he had two turnovers before the final drive. The old Bills would have choked, but […]
Things are rarely easy for the Buffalo Bills. We are used to games going down to the wire …The post E.J Manuel Manifests Magic: A Game-Winning Finish! appeared first on On Her Game.
BY DAN BEGNOCHEThe Buffalo Bills have asked a lot of rookie E.J. Manuel in his very brief NFL career. The thing is, it doesn't seem like it's phasing the 23-year-old much at all.A week after avoiding any turnovers and nearly eeking out a victory against last year's divisional champs, Manuel orchestrated an 80-yard, game-winning drive with less than two minutes to go in...
Bills running back Fred Jackson wasn't anything special Sunday versus Carolina.Fantasy Spin:The Panthers held Jackson to just 30 yards on 12 carries. Buffalo's running back workload has been a 60/40 split through the first two games.
Offensive lineman have long been the most unheralded players on football teams. Relatively anonymous for the most part, usually the only time we hear their names is when they do something wrong, like when they commit a holding or false start penalty. It’s hardly surprising, then, that endorsement opportunities for these guys are few and […]The post NFL centers land elusive endorsement...
NFL Week 2 Impact Rookies E.J. Manuel QB After a two yard touchdown pass to wide receiver Stevie Johnson with just a couple of seconds left in regulation, Manuel had locked up the first victory of his NFL career. The Bills trailed Carolina 23-17 heading into the 80-yard, game-winning
BY NICK ST. DENISNew York Jets defensive tackle Sheldon Richardson sent fellow rookie Buffalo Bills quarterback E.J. Manuel a Facebook message earlier this week.“I told him we’re after him,” Richardson told the Star-Ledger Monday. “. . . I told him, ‘Hey, make sure you’re in your playbook, man.’”The pair of first-year, first-rounders met at the draft and were selected...
"Oh, no. No. Come on, you're not... no, no. No! No."
-Doug Marrone on whether EJ Manuel has arrived-
Welcome to Buffalo, Doug. Yes, I know what Doug Marrone met when he said this. Hey, it is only one game and you can't say a QB has arrived after just 2 professional starts. Everyone knows that (Unless you are running the WGR web poll today). Yet, maybe some...

BY DAN BEGNOCHEAfter a disappointing result in a highly-anticipated home opener, the Buffalo Bills look to turn things around before taking on another divisional opponent on the road. To do that, however, they're going to have to get through a Carolina Panthers team looking to make up for a slow start of their own.Rookie quarterback E.J. Manuel had a solid outing in his first...
Whoa. I just woke up from a 4-hour nap, still slightly buzzed, and I don't have any idea where my glasses are. I think I may have lost them in the fracas of the Bills stunning win. I also happened to win Bills/Ravens tickets somehow while going to McFaddens to #supportsally. Seriously, life is good right about now.
As for today's game, there was some sort of peaceful...
