Talking to the media on Tuesday, New York Jets owner Woody Johnson claims this year’s team has a “buzz” around them (Credit: AP Photo) This year’s off-season for the New York Jets has been rather interesting to say the least. First, for some reason, the team signed veteran quarterback David Garrard. To make matters worse, after refusing to pay their best player Darrelle Revis, the team decided to trade him to the Buccaneers for this year’s first and next year’s fourth. From there, the Jets went on to add one more quarterback before cutting Tim Tebow following the draft. In what looks to be a circus in New York, owner Woody Johnson told Jets fans on Tuesday to ”be patient and have trust we’re doing the best thing for your team.” Johnson continued, saying “”The draft is going to work.” Johnson went on to add that there is a “buzz” surrounding the Jets. When a media member added “look out Patriots?”, Johnson answered back “absolutely, you’re right”. I am not sure if Johnson believes the team will be good next year or if he is just trying to soothe the fans. However, with about four and a half months until the season begins, the Jets look to be a mess. It appears that the team does not have a quality starting quarterback. They lost their best player and seem to have no one on offense that can help the team score. At this point, the Jets have to be the safe bet to be one of the worst teams in the NFL.
