Redskins-owner-snyder
D.C. has a baseball team in the postseason for the first time since the ’30s as well as a football team with a promising young quarterback but not much else. Somehow, this convergence of exciting sports things in a town that hasn’t had a bunch in a while prompted both Sports Illustrated and ESPN The Magazine to recently dedicate either a cover story or, in the case of ESPN, an entire issue to the D.C. sports scene. The most notable upshot of this has been locals upbraiding Mike Wilbon for writing a sidebar piece that trolls the city that he once wrote for on a regular basis. While hating on Wilbon is always necessary and appreciated, it’s never quite as satisfying as hating on Dan Snyder. Though you could make an argument that Wilbon has an even more repellent personality than the Redskins owner and that his disdain for sports fans of all types is about as obnoxious as it gets, Snyder possesses the power to affect things people care about and take their money. Snyder didn't take Redskins losses well

Redskins owner Dan Snyder is profiled in an upcoming magazine piece, and in it, Snyder's odd behavior during post-game antics after losses are chronicled.

Dan Snyder says he would binge on junk food till 4 am after losses

Washington Redskins owner has been through his share of downs during his tenure, most due to his mishaps as owner of the proud franchise. If this particular excerpt from an interview he did is true, I am beyond shock that Snyder never ended up on an episode of the biggest loser. USA Today is reporting that during a recent interview that Snyder did for ESPN The Magazine, Snyder was...

Mike Shanahan believes Alfred Morris has a “big-time future”

Washington Redskins head coach Mike Shanahan told the media today that he believes rookie running back Alfred Morris has a “big-time future” in the NFL. Yes, Shanahan likens Morris to another RB he’s coached. Won’t say who (wink, wink). Adds of Morris: “I think he’s got a big-time future.” — John Keim (@john_keim) October 4, 2012 It sounds like to me that Morris...

Redskins K Cundiff can't afford another bad game

Billy Cundiff knew his job was on the line. At least he had a sense of humor about it. In a year in which NFL kickers have been making field goals with record accuracy, Cundiff missed three in a tight game. He knew he would get one more chance as he watched Robert Griffin III drive the Washington Redskins down the field, trailing by one. ''I was joking with a guy on the...

RB Morris’ all-business approach paying big dividends for Redskins

With every performance, Washington Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III is proving worth the mega-hype he has been receiving. However, even though he's on pace to become the first NFL quarterback to run for 1,000 yards, Griffin isn't Washington's top rusher or even its No. 1 rookie on the ground. Those distinctions belong to running back Alfred Morris, the 173rd...

Redskins WR Pierre Garcon Says It Will Take ‘Some Time’ For Foot To Fully Heal

Redskins wide receiver Pierre Garcon said Thursday that his injured foot is improving but it’s “going to take some time” until it is completely healed and he is able to play at full capacity, Mark Maske of the Washington Post reports. “It’s going to take some time to feel back like my old self, like it was in training camp,” Garcon said in the locker room at Redskins Park...

Redskins' RG3 has well-defined on-off switch

We've seen the fourth-quarter comeback. We've seen the Barney socks. We've heard about the studiousness and the leadership. We've heard the disarming jokes. Where does one stop and the other start? For Robert Griffin III, it's a well-defined line. ''Can't be `on' all the time,'' the rookie quarterback said with a smile and a shrug as...

Keys for the Redskins to Upset the Falcons

The Redskins will host the Falcons at 1:00 PM on Sunday and look to hand Atlanta their first loss on the season. Redskins Nation knows that the key match-up of this game is going to be Matt Ryan and the explosive Falcon offense vs. the Redskins defense, and in particular the secondary. There is little doubt that Atlanta is going to put points on the board so more than likely,...

Redskins Throw Support Behind Maryland Gambling Expansion

The Washington Redskins organization announced that it is supporting Question 7, which would allow a new casino in Prince George’s County as well as Las Vegas-style table games at Maryland’s five previously authorized slots locations, John Wagner and Rick Maese of the Washington Post report. In a statement, a Redskins executive urged fans of the team, which plays its home games...

The Razzball Fantasy Football Podcast – Nick and JB Preview Week 5, JB Works On His Mayan War Cry

In a fairly bizarre 2012 for fantasy sports, Nick theorizes the Mayan prophecies of 2012 may be coming true.  In a year where Chris Johnson can’t do anything then goes off against a league-best run D, the Saints are 0-4, and the Redskins feature a top-tier RB in Alfred Morris, the Mayans are laughing at us. For this installment of the Razzball Fantasy Football Podcast, Nick and...
