While we usually like to look at the positives surrounding the Denver Broncos, there are some definite Draft day busts that are interesting to look at, too. After profiling the top tight end in franchise history yesterday, we’re looking at the worst tight end draft pick for Denver. While there are multiple possibilities, we’ll go with a more recent player, as to illustrate how difficult drafting can be. Taken in the second round of the 2009 NFL Draft, the Denver Broncos worst tight end selection is: Richard Quinn, North Carolina. Quinn, taken No. 64 overall by Josh McDaniels in that infamous Draft that included Knowshon Moreno and Robert Ayers in the first round, with Darcel McBath, Alphonso Smith and the tight end in the second, never developed into a presence for Denver. In his two seasons with the Broncos, Quinn caught one measly pass for nine yards, then moved onto the Washington Redskins and Cincinnati Bengals for a year each. He’s been out of the league since 2012. Like this? Click here for more Denver Broncos news!
