The Bears don’t tend to bring back players they release, but they might want to consider bringing back veteran defensive tackle Anthony Adams.

After losing Amobi Okoye to the Buccaneers, who signed him to one-year, $2 million deal the Bears are left with a void at the defensive tackle position.

Adams was plagued by a torn calf muscle through training camp and early in the season.

He ended up only playing 25.9 percent of the Bears’ defensive snaps last season, according to an NFL source.

With Henry Melton (25-years-old), Matt Toeaina (27-years-old), Stephen Paea (23-years-old), and Jordan Miller (24-years-old) on the roster.

Would the Bears consider bringing back the 32-years-old? Or could they be looking to add some more youth to the line?

Adams would bring his leadership back to the locker room and to the field.

He is a run stuffer more of a pass rusher.

When healthy he is a solid fourth or fifth defensive tackle in the rotation.

Don’t be shocked if the Bears consider bringing back Adams, who is still a free agent.

Defensive tackle will be a position the Bears look at early on in the draft.

Defensive end, cornerback, safety, linebacker, wide receiver, tight end are other areas of need.
