In Philly We Trust:
According to ESPN's NFL Countdown, Ellis Hobbs will undergo neck surgery and plans on calling it a career. Normally, an injury like the one he suffered would usually hold a player out for the season, but no longer. After this being his SECOND season-ending surgery though he thought it time to call it quits and focus on what really matters, a.k.a. his wife and child.Thankfully Hobbs is one of the smart ones, putting loved ones ahead of football. I've never been a huge fan of Ellis, sometimes even being quite vocal about my displeasure of him. But when it comes down to it no one deserves to be pulled away from the game they love. I feel bad for him. Hopefully he makes a full recovery and lives a long, happy life.
