Wide receiver Deion Branch doesn't care that he's not getting much attention as part of the New England Patriots receiving corps.
He said Monday he just does his job and can't worry about what others are saying.
Branch trails Wes Welker, Rob Gronkowski and Aaron Hernandez among the Patriots top receivers. Now he's preparing for the Super Bowl, the game in which he was chosen MVP seven years ago when New England beat Philadelphia.
Coach Bill Belichick said he and the other Patriots recognize Branch's contributions. He said Branch runs routes very well, has an excellent on-field relationship with quarterback Tom Brady and does a good job of blocking. And he said he can't imagine anyone on the team thinking that Branch isn't very important.
