Torry Holt is going to retire as a member of the St. Louis Rams.
"This is something I wanted to happen," Holt announced on NFL Network's "Total Access" on Wednesday. "I got drafted by the Rams in '99. I've always wanted to go back and retire at the place I played at, and the Rams have granted me this opportunity.
"Next week, I'll sign a one-day contract, and then after that, we'll have a press conference and I'll announce my retirement officially."
A seven-time Pro Bowl selection, Holt played all but one season with St. Louis before playing one campaign with the Jacksonville Jaguars.
He finished his career with 920 receptions, 13,382 yards and 74 touchdowns.
