The New York Jets re-signed wide receiver Scotty McKnight on Tuesday. A childhood friend of quarterback Mark Sanchez, McKnight was originally drafted by the Jets in the seventh round last season. He did not make the active roster, and suffered a torn ACL as a member of the practice squad. He was placed on injured reserve on Nov. 1. At Colorado, he played in 49 games, and left as the Buffaloes career leader with 215 receptions and 22 receiving touchdowns. Source: Associated Press

Team Sanchez vs Team Tebow: There's no in-between.
Mark Sanchez and Tim Tebow are now both New York Jets. While Mark Sanchez is clearly stated to be the starter, recently receiving a 5-year contract extension and being called “the QB of the franchise”, the signing of Tim Tebow has some Jets fans calling for a new starter. I’ve made my opinion clear here that I’m...
Tim Tebow has officially joined the New York Jets after the trade talks were revived.
Mark Sanchez is a capable QB but has not been given the requisite weapons or aerial playcaller to really show off his talent.
Stuck with troublesome or aging wideouts for most of his career, his only consistent option has been Dustin Keller.
An overrated run game only helped to complicate matters...

In fact, there are at least six thoroughbreds listed by The Jockey Club carrying the Tebow name.
They're all named for Tim Tebow, the New York Jets new backup quarterback who last season led Denver to the playoffs with an incredible string of comeback victories but was traded away...
New York Jets head coach Rex Ryan threw his weight behind Mark
Sanchez Tuesday. One day after the Jets introduced Tim Tebow as the
team's backup quarterback, Ryan expressed his support for Sanchez,
saying the quarterback would have received a contract extension
regardless of who the team acquired.
Wherever Tim Tebow goes, the buzz will follow. As far as backup quarterbacks are concerned, Tebow is a solid option. From that standpoint, you can’t blame the Jets for bringing him in despite the media frenzy that goes along with it. If Mark Sanchez struggles or gets hurt, it will be nice to have a guy who has proven he can win games as an NFL starter waiting to be called upon...
