The Arizona Republic reports that running back Jason Wright has decided to retire after seven seasons in the NFL.

Wright has decided it’s time to give up football, retiring after seven NFL seasons, including the last two with Arizona. Wright turned 28 last week, and his agent, Mike McCartney, believes Wright would have had plenty of options in free agency. The Cardinals might have had some interest as Wright was productive as a situational player on offense and was an excellent special teamer. He missed one game last season due to a concussion. Wright was admitted to the Booth School of Business at the University of Chicago, and he and wife Tiffany have already moved to the Chicago area.
