B.J. Raji has reached an agreement with the Green Bay Packers. The deal is a one-year contract worth $4 million. Raji played all 16 games for the Packers last season and despite his drop in production during the past year, he is still an integral piece of the Packers defense. The Packers drafted Raji with the ninth pick and it was clear that they weren’t going to let him leave with most of his career ahead of him. Green Bay is hoping that Raji’s disappointing 2012 and 2013 seasons will be anomalies in his career. Raji had his most productive season in 2010, when the Packers went to the Super Bowl. Raji recorded 6.5 sacks and 39 combined tackles during that season. He must have a strong season in what is his second consecutive contract year to remain with the team.
