PLAYERS: Peyton Manning
TEAMS: Denver Broncos
Peyton Manning, a 14-year-old boy Denver, CO boy, (on the left) was born three days before Peyton Manning, the Super Bowl champion, Denver Broncos quarterback, made his first NFL star.According to the Denver Post, the young boy claims that he can't get on Facebook, because of the fact that he's name is Peyton Manning, the same name of the NFL QB.The young boy says that his parents thought it would be a "great idea" to name him after the football star when he was a senior at Tennessee. It's proof that the Manning's (14-year-old) parents were MAJOR Tennessee fans."I would never have named him Peyton if I knew (the quarterback) was going to be a legendary football player anywhere, let alone Denver," Kim Manning told the newspaper. "I just thought it was a great name."At least his parents named him after a great figure in American sports. The newspaper reports that the young Manning is a captain on his hockey team.

Peyton Manning makes comical effort at tackle

Before Peyton Manning led the Broncos’ comeback on Monday Night Football, he had to provide us with some comic relief. If I had four neck surgeries, I probably wouldn’t be too keen about throwing my body in front of linebackers blocking on a Pick 6. Let’s be honest, Peyton Manning isn’t never going to be Peyton Manning of old, but you know who he reminds me of? Muhammad Ali...

Manning has hit his stride in Denver

Reports of Peyton Manning's demise were premature. Denver's quarterback has been outstanding by every measure since throwing three interceptions in the first quarter at Atlanta a month ago. His trio of wobblers that night left critics questioning his stability, strength and stamina after spending all of last season on the sideline. His latest Monday night performance went...

Peyton Manning on the edge against the Chargers

Even though his Denver Broncos accomplished something thats only happened five times in NFL history, coming back from 24-0 deficit at halftime, Peyton Manning was not happy about a call during the end of the game.Peyton was upset about an offensive pass interference call on Eric Decker that would have sealed the victory for his Broncos. It was a long, arduous game and at this point...

Peyton Manning is the NFL’s All-Time Leader in Fourth Quarter Comeback Wins

Peyton Manning delivered his NFL record-setting 37th fourth-quarter comeback win in epic fashion. Captain Comeback Scott Kacsmar puts it all into perspective.

NFL Week 6 thoughts & recap

The fact that the New England Patriots have 3 losses at this point in the season is pretty alarming. They haven’t looked like that dominating Patriots team we are used to seeing but I’m not counting them out at all.

Generational Legends Like Peyton Manning Prove There Will Be No Country For Young Men

Chargers P.R. to Fans, “What’s with you people?”

The Chargers were embarrassed by Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos with an historic comeback after the Chargers led 24-0 at half and went on to lose 35-24. Well, apparently the embarrassment turned to anger and restlessness, which is hardly unexpected of any fanbase after a collapse like that. Chargers P.R. director Bill Johnston took to the team’s website with a post entitled...

The Sheriff is back and in a BIG way in San Diego

If anyone doubted Peyton Manning, they had better put them away as the Sheriff is back in town. Manning saw his Broncos get behind and completely outplayed in the first half, trailing 24-0 and no hope in sight, but like in other games this season, the “Sheriff” as people call Manning, stepped up and took the team on his back… again as the Broncos along with 6 Charger turnovers...

NFL’s Top 10 disappointing players and teams

We are nearly two weeks away from the NFL’s halfway mark. There have already been several teams and players that have certainly turned in disappointing returns based on what we knew of them or what was expected of them. Certain situations such as the Dallas Cowboys were not included because they are expected to let their fans down. Therefore, being a disappointment is not disappointing...

Five players leading the MVP race

1) Peyton Manning: Manning is looking for his fifth MVP award this season, and he's off to a great start once again, despite Denver's struggles to keep pace with top-tier teams in the league. The Broncos currently rank 4th in passing yards per game, up from 31st a season ago under Tim Tebow. To cap it all off, Manning trails only Aaron Rodgers in touchdown passes at 14 this...

Denver Broncos Stage Epic Comeback In MNF Win Over Chargers

John Elway Was Right: Peyton Manning Is Back

It's a passing league - no secret to anyone. But the Broncos may have been onto something last year.  While teams shift to passing offenses, the Broncos could have doubled down on being a power run team and been competitive.  Defenses are being built to stop passing attacks, not the University of Nebraska rushing attack of the 80s. While I think some team will eventually...

Blown opportunity leaves Bolts with work to do

Norv Turner keeps saying San Diego can be a good team, and the Chargers keep responding with second-half collapses. Monday night was epic: The Chargers blew a 24-0 halftime lead and lost 35-24 to Peyton Manning and the AFC West-rival Denver Broncos. It tied for the fourth-biggest comeback in NFL regular-season history. A week earlier, San Diego blew a 10-point third-quarter lead...

Betting On The NFL In 2012 Sucks. It’s Time For Online Slots

A.B. Growing up as a sports fan in America, I find it impossible not to gamble on games. And while I wouldn’t bet an NHL or MLB game to save my life, something about betting on the NFL just soothes the soul. Watching Thursday night football without money on the line doesn’t interest me, unless the Patriots are playing. But put $50 on the over of a game between the Browns &...

Around the NFL: Week 7

In this unpredictably wild season, nothing is certain. Craziness has become the theme of 2012, and week six exemplified that. Up 24-0 at home, Norv Turner and the San Diego Chargers had the Monday Night game in the bag.  That was until Peyton Manning and the Broncos stormed back to make history, becoming the first team to be down 24 points and still win by double digits. The 35...
