Vince Young's NFL comeback is looking less like a pipe dream today, thanks to NFL.com's Ian Rapoport.
Young -- the former Pro Bowl quarterback who got crossways with the Tennessee Titans and was cut from the Buffalo Bills during training camp last year -- worked out Thursday for the Oakland Raiders alongside Ravens backup Troy Smith.
"Heard Vince looked good," Rapoport said.
Young's unusual blend of size, speed, strength and grace made him the Titans' first-round pick in 2006. The Titans were making a bet that Young's equally unusual throwing motion would not prevent him from being an effective passer in the NFL. Though it might still be too early to make a judgment on that, Young's first five NFL seasons were not a good sign. He has five more interceptions than touchdown passes and has never thrown for more than 2,600 yards in a season. He has completed 58 percent of his passes.
