Vince Young's NFL comeback is looking less like a pipe dream today, thanks to's Ian Rapoport. Young -- the former Pro Bowl quarterback who got crossways with the Tennessee Titans and was cut from the Buffalo Bills during training camp last year -- worked out Thursday for the Oakland Raiders alongside Ravens backup Troy Smith. "Heard Vince looked good," Rapoport said. Young's unusual blend of size, speed, strength and grace made him the Titans' first-round pick in 2006. The Titans were making a bet that Young's equally unusual throwing motion would not prevent him from being an effective passer in the NFL. Though it might still be too early to make a judgment on that, Young's first five NFL seasons were not a good sign. He has five more interceptions than touchdown passes and has never thrown for more than 2,600 yards in a season. He has completed 58 percent of his passes. Young last played for the Philadelphia Eagles in 2011, playing ...

Vince Young Getting Another Chance--in Oakland?

After being out of the league for a year I think it is safe to say that if Vince Young gets another chance he is going to appreciate it, make the most of it, and do absolutely everything he can to maximize it.  If you can believe the rumor mill it sounds like he might get a chance to do just that with a team known for taking in wayward former stars--the Oakland Raiders. ...

According to Sal Capaccio of WGR 550 in Buffalo, the Bills are still high on NC State quarterback Mike Glennon. I’ve been told the #Bills are still fairly high on NC State QB Mike Glennon. DOESN’T mean they are “in love” or will target him…… — Sal Capaccio (@SalSports) April 11, 2013 I’m sure the Bills are “high” on a lot of quarterbacks this year because they...

Bills will search for playmaker in 2013 NFL Draft

Buffalo Bills fans knew there were a number of holes to fill during 2013, but more moves were expected by now. It is obvious the Bills are now looking towards the 2013 NFL Draft to build and grow the organization. There are a number of different ways the team could go in the draft. Due to lack of signings in free agency, it would make sense for the Bills to draft a player who is...

While many are assuming, and we're sure newly acquired Bills quarterback Kevin Kolb is among them, that Kolb is likely the starting QB for the team in 2013, his contract reportedly says otherwise. A league source with knowledge of the deal says his contract with the Bills "screams backup," according to Bills general manager has stated that...

Q&A about Alan Branch from both a Cards and Hawks writer

Yeah, I don't know much about Alan Branch. I've heard all the stuff about how he fits the hybrid defense and adds a lot of depth. I could try and lie and pretend to know who this guy is, but I don't play that way. Instead, I decided to ask someone who has covered him to find out what the deal is with him. I decided to reach out to Matthew over at Seahawks Addict and Tyler...

Despite the recent acquisition of quarterback Matt Flynn, the Raiders aren't sitting on their hands in relation to the quarterback position. Flynn was brought into Seattle to be the probable starting quarterback there, but Russell Wilson proved he, not Flynn, deserved to start. With the same scenario possible, but not probable, in Oakland, the Raiders are still looking to add...
