That picture pretty much sums up my feelings about how the Divisional Playoffs went with Drew Brees and the Saints knocked out by the Niners after one of the great all-time playoff games.  Maybe Drew can take the time to try his hand at television in the meantime if the opportunity arises as we suggested yesterday.  Alas, the Playoffs go on with Championship Sunday just five days away.  The AFC game goes first from New England followed by the NFC game in San Francisco.  Also note the interesting Pro Bowl announcing team NBC has lined up.  Dan Hicks joins Mike Mayock and Doug Flutie on play by play instead of Tom Hammond from Hawaii.  At least Brees and Rodgers can have their shootout there.

Aaron Rodgers, Drew Brees, Tom Brady All More Qualified for MVP Than Peyton Manning, Steve McNair in 2003

What does having an MVP quarterback get you? For the Saints and Packers, not much. That's the case after the Saints and Packers were both stunned over the weekend with losses to the 49ers and Giants, respectively. The season for either Drew Brees or Aaron Rodgers, though, isn't yet over, as one of the two quarterbacks will almost assuredly be named league MVP during Super...

Saints Nation: 2011 Saints Nation Player Awards

The Saints Nation rule: if you are chosen as the MVP, you cannot be chosen as the player of the year for your unit. Saints' MVP: Drew Brees (2010 winner: Drew Brees)Saints Offensive Player of the Year: Marques Colston (2010 winner: Marques...

Ouster Of Brees And Rodgers Looms Ominously For Brady

Congratulations, Tom Brady! You just knocked Tim Tebow out of the playoffs and saved us an additional week of soft focus Rick Reilly columns about how Tebow is a good quarterback but an even BETTER human being. That's the good news. The bad news is that you are the last man standing when it comes to elite QBs carrying lousy defenses. There were three teams in the divisional...

SF Niners look to cut off Eli Manning at pass

By HANK GOLA DAILY NEWS SPORTS WRITER SANTA CLARA, Calif. — They didn’t exactly shut down Drew Brees Saturday but they did beat him. Now the 49ers face another quarterback with gaudy stats — as well as a Super Bowl MVP trophy — in Eli Manning.
