The Houston Texans’ WILL linebacker, Zach Diles, has been ruled out for tomorrow’s game at the New Meadowlands. Diles has been a consistent point at linebacker this season for the Texans. He was hospitalized this week and found with dizziness an heart palpitations. The Texans say everything’s “under control.”
Rookie Darryl Sharpton will start in Diles’ place. Sharpton was a standout linebacker at Miami before the Texans drafted him in the fourth round of the 2010 NFL Draft. While he’s dealt with his share of injuries before and into the start of the season, he’s primarily played a special teams role for the Texans and will likely continue in that role as well as the WILL linebacker position on Sunday. The Jets, according to their NFL team website, said they look to strike early and often in order to later grind their running backs out on the Texans for the win.
