Zach Miller Strongly Believes He’ll Be Back With Raiders Next Season

Earlier this week, the Oakland Raiders placed the highest tender on tight end Zack Miller, meaning any team that makes an attempt to sign him will have to surrender a first and third-round pick to the Raiders in compensation–depending on what happens with the new Collective Bargaining Agreement. While he didn’t receive the franchise tag, Miller claimed in a recent interview he’s “optimistic” that he’ll be back with the Raiders next season and that the two sides will reach an agreement once a new CBA is in place. Miller indicated that discussions went well with Oakland before Thursday’s deadline and strongly believes they’ll pick back up once again when the two sides are allowed to. This comes as good news for Oakland, who finished 8-8 last season–their best record in eight years.
