New England Patriots
There is a misnomer used to describe college quarterbacks that have elevated passing numbers, but unrealistic NFL potential, and that is “system quarterback.” The title of “system quarterback” misleads because every quarterback is a system quarterback. From Geno Smith to Matt Barkley, they all run a system. The difference is what the system asks them to do in terms of pro-style schemes. In the NFL, the best offensive system is that of the New England Patriots. The Patriots are the ultimate plug-and-play system in that it does not matter who is playing what position for New England, the production will be the same. If you do not believe me, look at this comparison: Season A: 25.6 points per game, 33.5 yards per drive, 21 turnovers lost Season B: 26.7 points per game, 35.7 yards per drive, 22 turnovers lostSeason A is the 2008 New England Patriots, quarterbacked by Matt Cassel due to Tom Brady’s knee injury. Season B is the following year wit

The Patriots have been practicing and playing preseason games for the past three weeks; all the while tight end Rob Gronkowski has watched from the sideline.
That won't change anytime soon if a recent report from ESPN's Adam Schefter is any indication.

whether or not he’ll start the season on the physically unable to perform (PUP)
Aaron Hernandez has become pen pal crazy since being charged with the murder of Odin Lloyd. Hernandez has been denied bail, so the best guess is that boredom and loneliness has him feeling the need to reply to people who have written to him. However, since everyone seems to be selling Hernandez’s replies to them, you would think it would teach him not to write anymore. Well apparently...
Another day, another leaked prison letter. Doesn’t Hernandez realize writing to strangers is creepy? The letter, which contains parenting advice and a lesson on staying positive, was written to Colin Imm, one of Hernandez’s “pen pals.” The letter was leaked/sold to Radar Online. Hernandez should just cut out the middle men and send his letters directly to the press. Thanks...

Tom Brady may be head and shoulders above many of his NFL peers, but he’s not making seven times as much as them. That’s a distinction left to his wife, Gisele Bundchen, among her colleagues in the modeling world.
Forbes reports that Brady and Bundchen brought in a combined $80.3 million last year, with Bundchen providing $42 million and Brady $38.3 million. Bundchen’s haul...
