Zoltan Mesko‘s mustache isn’t nearly as impressive as Mike Ditka‘s or Keith Hernandez‘s, but since it’s for charity, we’ll let the wispy-ness slide.
The Patriots’ punter tweeted a picture on Tuesday of his 13-day progress, along with a link to donate to Movember and Sons, which benefits men’s health issues, including prostate and testicular cancer initiatives.
The Romanian-born punter is one of the more publicly humorous players in New England. He’s also not afraid to poke fun of himself, referring to his mustache on twitter as “creepy.” Mesko’s punts have only allowed 73 total return yards this season and he’s fifth with 19 punts inside the twenty-yard line, despite punting just 32 times.
Check out Mesko’s tweet below.

Patriots Injury Report: Wes Welker, Aaron Hernandez, Rob Gronkowski
New England Patriots wide receiver Wes Welker was among
several players not to participate in Wednesday’s practice, while tight ends
Aaron Hernandez and Rob Gronkowski were limited.
Welker has been dealing with an ankle injury since early
Oct., but it hasn’t received much notice as the speedy slot receiver has
continued to play through it. He appeared to reinjure the ankle...
Gronk Want Cake! Life-size Made of Rob Gronkowski
Per a tweet from the Patriots official Twitter feed and a report from Chris Reidy of the Boston Globe, New England Patriots All Pro tight end Rob Gronkowski was presented with a life-size replica of himself as part of the Dunkin’ Donuts “DD Gronkoff” FaceBook Sweepstakes. The cake, created by Montilio’s Baking Co., used enough ingredients for 15 sheet cakes, but as you...
Bill Belichick vs Rookie QBs
During his long tenure with the New England Patriots, Bill Belichick has encountered many Quarterbacks. On Sunday, he'll be coming up against one of the most special prospects to come out of college in the last 12 years. Rookie QB Andrew Luck is having an amazing year, on the wave of the momentum brought by the rallying force of Chuck Pagano. Combine this with a heavyweight...

With Mankins Hurt, Patriots Sign Petrus
Patriots LG Logan Mankins hobbled off the field with a lower leg injury Sunday against the Bills. RG Dan Connolly also left the game with an injury. The questionable status of two starting offensive linemen was enough motivation for the Patriots to make some roster moves.

Stevan Ridley Looks to Danny Woodhead as Leader of Patriots Running Backs, Enjoys His Touchdown Dances (Video)
FOXBORO, Mass. — Stevan Ridley nearly pulled off his fifth 100-yard performance of the season on Sunday, yet he wasn’t even the star of the Patriots backfield in the win.
Danny Woodhead, the elder statesman on the Patriots running back depth chart, busted out one of the biggest games of his NFL career with a pair of touchdowns and contributions in every facet of the offense....

Stevie Johnson Unwilling to Call Brandon Spikes ‘a Punk,’ Says Linebacker’s Play Is Part of Football
Bills quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick was none too pleased with what Patriots linebacker Brandon Spikes did on Sunday during New England’s 37-31 win over Buffalo at Gillette Stadium. Fitzpatrick, who was visibly upset with Spikes following a questionable hit during the game, carried that frustration with him to the postgame news conference where he called Spikes a “punk.” Running...
Everybody, This is “Mister Alexander,” Son Of Mr. Alexander
The Patriots are having trouble in defending anybody. Their defensive line doesn’t seem to be getting to the quarterback, their inside linebackers are terrible in pass coverage and their secondary is a rotating band of misfit draft picks who routinely get benched in favor offensive players.
They gave up 31 points to the Bills last week. It’s a bad, bad situation over in Foxboro...
Evauating the Patriots’ Defense: Week 10
It was either really good defense or really bad defense for the New England Patriots this Sunday against the Buffalo Bills- that’s for sure. At times, it seemed as if the Pats were able to get adequate pressure on Ryan Fitzpatrick, but the entire second half seemed as if he was getting plenty of time, and the running backs had plenty of running room to make their moves.
There...
Bill Parcells Says 2012 Patriots Are Better Than 2011 Super Bowl Team
Bill Parcells still believes in the Patriots.
The legendary head coach hasn’t coached in New England in nearly 15 years, but he still maintains a tight connection with close friend and current coach Bill Belichick. And Parcells admitted Monday that he’s been in touch with Belichick — even claiming that this year’s Patriots team is better than the Super Bowl runner-up of a...
Deion Branch, Zoltan Mesko Compete in ‘Guy Who Selects Locker Room Music’ Election (Video)
Locker room music is serious business in the NFL.
Once Matt Light retired, there was no one to decide on what to play in the Patriots’ locker room. Kenny Mayne from ESPN tried to put it to a vote between Deion Branch and Zoltan Mesko.
To quote the candidates, Branch likes “all sorts of music,” while Mesko likes “all kinds of music.” The election-themed decision even came...
Patriots Defense Has Been OFFENSIVE In 2012
The Patriots’ secondary has struggled this year, giving up 30 points or more twice.
We saw it last year. Defense wins championships. Lack of defense lets championships slip away.
It’s become quite the cliché throughout the history of sports, but there aren’t many of them that are more true. In almost any sport – particularly football – teams need to be sound on both...
New England Patriots vs. Buffalo Bills, Round 2
It’s time for a confession:I kind of wish the Buffalo Bills had won Sunday’s match-up against the New England Patriots, if only because of their second half play. Ryan Fitzpatrick completed 27 of 40 attempts for a total of 337 yards, while Fred Jackson and C.J. Spiller both continuously made something out of nothing. Jackson finished with 80 yards rushing and 4 catches for 35...
