Fox Sports Wisconsin:
GREEN BAY, Wis. Just as Packers linebacker Frank Zombo was getting healthy and back on the field, he has experienced another setback. This time, that setback has come in the form of a hamstring strain that will likely keep him out of Green Bay's next game at home against the Minnesota Vikings."I don't think it's a severe hamstring (injury),"coach Mike McCarthy said Monday. It's the latest in a string of injuries for Zombo this season. He missed the Packers' first five games with a shoulder injury. Then, in his first game of the season in Week 6, Zombo injured his knee and missed the next game. After returning from that one game absence, Zombo left Sunday's win in San Diego with the hamstring injury.McCarthy did have better news on the injury front on defensive end Mike Neal (knee), announcing that the 2010 second-round pick was scheduled to practice with the Packers on Thursday."There's going to be a progression of bringing Mike back to practice, and that conversation will go on here in the next couple days,"McCarthy said. "But we're shooting for him to be on the practice field Thursday."If healthy, Neal showed the ability in training camp to be the missing piece for Green Bay's struggling pass rush. Last season, the Packers were second in the NFL in sacks. With half of the 2011 season now over, Green Bay is ranked 17th in sacks.Neal was expected to step in for Cullen Jenkins, whom the Packers decided not to re-sign in free agency."A lot of people expect a lot of things out of me, and that's a lot of pressure on my shoulders because of it," Neal said in a one-on-one interview last week.Follow Paul Imig on Twitter
