Washington-redskins-coach

I saw this in the Seattle Times earlier today, and I have to say this is good for the Seahawks as well as Jim Zorn.

Fisrst off, way to go Zorn.  I am glad he found a job somewhere and is doing something that he has had success with.  He was a big part of the development of Matt Hasselbeck as well as the first Seahawk quarterback.  As far as I am concerned, he still deserves appreciation from the Seahawks nation.  (Did that sound like Jesse Jackson?)

On the other hand, this is a great no-move by the Hawks.  Zorn did his part as a player and a coach for this team, but I am tired of reaching to the past to help the future.  This is something the Hawks are notorious for.  This is Pete’s team, and it is headed in a new direction.  There is no room for the things that used to work.  This team is in the process of a complete overhaul, and Jim Zorn would have been the wrong guy for the job.  I am not saying he is a bad coach.  I love the guy.  He would have just been the wrong pick for the Hawks at this point.

Well done Seahawks for passing this up, and well done Kansas City on a great hire.
