Chicago Bears Cut Chester Taylor and Vernon Gholston
The Chicago Bears have released Chester Taylor, and I think everyone saw that coming when Marian Barber signed in the off season. Khalil Bell is such a valuable asset on special teams and Taylor really didnt’ work out the way anyone was thinking he would. So I’m not surprised by the move, and actually happy about it.
Releasing Vernon Gholston was a little more shocking to me...

Chicago Bears general manager Jerry Angelo was very pointed in his comments on a local Chicago radio show earlier this week in regards to tailback Chester Taylor. He felt that Taylor, despite his poor statistics helped Matt Forte be successful last season.

The signing of Barber leaves Taylor odd man out.
The Bears made a mistake last season by signing the aging running back last...

Taylor interested in 1 stat: Wins
Chester Taylor hasn’t had the sort of season he envisioned, when he signed a contract with the Bears on the first day of free agency. The running back is on pace for a career low in yards per carry (just 2.6 yards) and 24 catches, which would be his lowest …
