Bengals release DT Tank Johnson
The Bengals have released defensive tackle Tank Johnson, who missed nine games last season with a knee injury.
The 29-year-old lineman has been limited during training camp and didn't play in Cincinnati's preseason opener last Friday, a 34-3 loss in Detroit.

The Bengals have released 29-year old DT Tank Johnson. Johnson played in 7 games for the Bengals last year and he had 10 tackles and 1 tackle for a loss. He played in 21 games in his two years with the Bengals in which he had 39 tackles, 2 sacks, 1 pass defensed and 2 tackles for a loss. This isn’t much of a loss for the Bengals as Johnson hasn’t done much for them.

A Cook County judge in Illinois called former Bears defensive tackle Tank Johnson a coward for not helping his best friend after he was shot inside a River North nightclub in 2006.
