Saints Nation: Ravens Blogger's Take on Ben Grubbs
Now that he's a member of the Saints, I figured I'd learn more about Ben Grubbs by catching up with esteemed blogger Tony Lombardi of Ravens 24x7. No one knows more about the Ravens than this guy, so make sure you go check out his site. Many thanks to Tony for taking the time to give us his take on Grubbs. Here is what he had to say:

They weren’t able to keep Carl Nicks. He left for Tampa Bay on Wednesday.
OG Ben Grubbs was out there, so it was a pretty much a no-brainer.
Grubbs signed a 5-year deal with the Saints worth a whopping $36 million with a $10 million dollar signing bonus ($16M guaranteed).

Grubbs may be the next Raven to leave town
After losing Cory Redding and Jarret Johnson in free agency on Wednesday, Pro Bowl left guard Ben Grubbs may follow suit, and the Ravens aren’t waiting around for him to make a decision. Ravens make Ben Grubbs an offer
According to Jeff Zrebiec of the Baltimore Sun, the Ravens have made left guard Ben Grubbs a substantial offer to remain in Baltimore, in order to keep him from hitting open market as a free agent.
If Grubbs ends up testing the open market, there will likely be a team that’s willing to outbid the Ravens and possibly snatch him up. Unfortunately the Ravens don’t have...

Grubbs, who Pro Football Focus ranks as the third best free agent guard, has been a key component to the Ravens offensive line since earning the starting job as a rookie in 2007. But with the Ravens currently dealing with the expired contract...

Last week, I wrote that the team’s Web site was reporting the Ravens have been negotiating with Grubbs and he was still a possibility to return for the 2012 season and beyond.
According to the Baltimore Sun’s Jeff Zrebiec, nothing is imminent with Grubbs and it looks...
