Datone Jones finds perfect sign to sum up Packers' first two weeks

Green Bay Packers defensive end Datone Jones was driving around town and happened to come across a pretty awesome sign at a local shopping center. He shared a picture of it in a Tweet on Monday. The sign reads: "TODAY'S MENU SEAHAWK WINGS TASTE JUST LIKE BEAR MEAT." The Packers traveled to Chicago and took down the Bears in Week 1 before returning home and defending Lambeau Field...

Packers 2015 Season Prediction

As I say every year, sports pundit and blogger types usually do a game-by-game set of predictions for the NFL season. Not here. Instead, we break the season down to four quarters, much like a football game itself. We think that gives a better look at reality...or what will hopefully be reality when it's all said and done. It also follows an approach which many coaches, including...

Datone Jones Flashes Dominance vs Patriots

For the last two years, the Green Bay Packers have been waiting for Datone Jones to be a dominant force. And last night against the New England Patriots, he looked like one for one of the few times in his career. Jones, a 2013 first-rounder, did not start at defensive end, Mike Pennell and Josh Boyd did, but it was Jones that made biggest impact. The former UCLA Bruin torched the...

Green Bay Packers DE Datone Jones tried telling police he was a first-round pick

A new report from Press-Gazette Media details the trouble Green Bay Packers defensive end Datone Jones got himself into earlier this offseason, including his unsuccessful attempt to use star power to get out of a ticket for marijuana possession. Details Emerge on Why Green Bay Packers DE Datone Jones Has Been Suspended For The Season Opener

Recently the NFL announced a whole bunch of drug related suspensions among them a one-game suspension for Green Bay Packers defensive end Datone Jones. Fans were a little surprised by this especially since it was just a one-game suspension. Datone Jones Becoming a Force on Green Bay Packers’ Defensive Line

When the Green Bay Packers selected Datone Jones in the first round of the 2013 NFL Draft, they thought they were going to get a dominant force on their defensive line. Last season, Jones struggled and in part due to injury was not able to make the immediate impact expected. But now, in year two, the freakish defensive lineman from UCLA, is making plays and finally looks like the...

Datone Jones and Mike Daniels Key Packers’ Defense Line Resurgence

The defensive line has not been a strong suit of the Green Bay Packers over the past couple of seasons but with the emergence of Mike Daniels as an impact player last season and potential break out of Datone Jones in 2014, the Packers suddenly have the makings of a dominant defensive line. Daniels, a fourth-round pick in the 2012 NFL Draft, has been a spark plug for the Packers ever...

Packers: Mike Daniels and Datone Jones Provide Potent Interior Pass Rush

Outsiders may still believe that the Green Bay Packers have a long way to go on the defensive side of the football. Yet, what they might not realize is the Packers have been collecting talented defensive players since the 2012 NFL Draft and this will be the year when we start seeing the fruits of that labor. One area in particular where the Green Bay defense will be much improved...

Packers Breakout Candidate: Datone Jones

Disappointing is one word that could be used to describe Datone Jones' rookie season. When the Packers selected him 26th overall in last year’s NFL Draft, the Packers were hoping he’d provide an immediate impact. We all know that’s not how it turned out, but, that’s not to say that Jones didn’t show potential to eventually becoming that impact player many thought he’d...
