Steelers To Utilize TE Heath Miller More Under Todd Haley
Steelers tight end Heath Miller is expected to play a key role as a receiver in new offensive coordinator Todd Haley's system, Ed Bouchette reports in Thursday's edition of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. "Haley is excited about what Heath Miller is capable of," head coach Mike Tomlin said. "He's been very clear about that, his excitement to work with Miller...

Steelers post draft position breakdown: Tight Ends
The tight end position for the Steelers is one of those things that every fan screams for more use of every year but we never seem to get our prayers answered. Each year we wonder if the offense will finally feature more use of the tight end in the redzone or on 3rd down, but deep down inside we know it’s not going to happen. It’s just not what the Steelers do.
Now with...

Heath Miller Was Not An Obvious First Round Pick In 2005 Either
The Pittsburgh Steelers signed free agent tight end Leonard Pope on Tuesday and immediately most in Steeler Nation speculate that there is absolutely no way the Steelers will now consider drafting a tight end in the first round of the draft later this month. When you look at the odds from a distance and mix in the fact that Pope played for new offensive coordinator Todd Haley when...

Heath Miller passes new milestone
Heath Miller with his first catch in the game against the 49ers now has the most receptions for a tight end in Steelers history. He was tied with Elbie Nickel prior to that catch. He now is at 4th in all time receptions for the Steelers. With 6 more receptions he will pass Hall of Famer Lynn Swann. That’s quite an accomplishment for Heath with a long career still ahead of him.

Steelers Miller Awarded For The Fundamentals
Heath Miller is fundamental. Courtesy zimbio.com
A few days ago our own Heath Miller was named to the 2011 USA Football All Fundamentals Team. HUH? OK so it’s not the Pro Bowl, or the All Madden Team, and by Google standards it not even worth an automatic search fill in, but it’s a nice nod to Heath nonetheless.

Heath Miller Could Surpass The Great Elbie Nickel Tonight With 3 Catches
With three receptions tonight against the Cleveland Browns, Pittsburgh Steelers tight end Heath Miller will surpass the great Elbie Nickel for the most receptions by a tight end in Steelers history. Miller currently has 327 for his career and Nickel had 329 during his 11 seasons with the Steelers from 1947-1957. Nickel compiled his record amount of receptions in 131 regular season...

Heath Miller Could/Should Have a Big Day for the Steelers Tomorrow
Heath Miller should be in line for a huge game tomorrow, Image Courtesy of post-gazette.comWith their win against the vastly overrated 49ers, the Ravens have now leap-frogged the Steelers in their race for 1st Place in the A.F.C. North. Essentially, until Baltimore screws up in a trap-game (who knows, they’ve done it twice this season), the tie-breaker still lies with them...

Heath Miller Should Have Big Week Against Chiefs
Heath Miller should be a big part of the Steelers offense this week against the Chiefs. In the Chiefs last 4 games they have 14 catches to tight ends. Four of those have gone for touchdowns. This stat should really be the last 3 games because the game versus Denver where Tim Tebow threw the ball 8 times should not count.
New England struggled in the first half against the Chiefs...

It's Miller Time
Heath Miller is quietly and most assuredly climbing the all-time receiving charts for the Pittsburgh Steelers. On Sunday, he hopes to help the Steelers climb over the New England Patriots.
