Jeff Janis Could Be Answer to Packers’ Big-Play Problem

For the past two seasons, Jeff Janis has been a bit of a folk hero in Green Bay. But now, with their offense struggling, Janis needs to make his potential a reality. Last night in Denver, the Packers were destroyed by the Broncos 29-10 in a game that showed just how much Green Bay misses Jordy Nelson. Green Bay could barely pick up a first down, let alone make a big play. Aaron Rodgers...

WR Jeff Janis emerging as deep threat in Packers offense

Green Bay Packers' second-year wide receiver Jeff Janis has the tools to help ease the loss of Jordy Nelson, but he first must improve on being consistent if he is to seize the opportunity in front of him. Time to start the Jeff Janis hype train?

Jump on! The trains leaving the station!! While the Jordy Nelson torn ACL injury is about a 9.9 on the fantasy football Richter scale, it does have some positives. That is if your name is Jeff Janis.  Janis looks to be the new WR3 on the Green Bay Packers with Nelson set to hit the IR. The Packers have to be very happy they were able to bring back Randall Cobb this offseason. As...

Jeff Janis, Ty Montgomery Makes Green Bay Ridiculously Good at WR

The Green Bay Packers are going to end up keeping six wide receivers on their final 53-man roster in 2015. And both Jeff Janis and Ty Montgomery will be among them.  Janis, who was on the roster a season ago, is continuing to impress after turning heads at OTA’s this week. And his development along with the addition of Ty Montgomery of Stanford in the third round of the draft and...

Is it Time to Unleash the Jeff Janis?

Thursday night saw a lot of firsts for the Packers.  Julius Peppers had his first Lambeau Leap.  Davante Adams scored his first NFL touchdown.  Letroy Guion recorded his first sack as a Green Bay Packer.  One of the other firsts that I noticed, and one that excites me greatly, was the first career reception for 2014 7th round pick Jeff Janis.  Janis is an extremely athletic prospect...

Jared Abbrederis, Jeff Janis Could Force Packers to Keep Six Wide Receivers

The Green Bay Packers are loaded at wide receiver. Yes the team did lost James Jones to free agency this offseason and both Randall Cobb and Jordy Nelson are headed for free agency but if we just focus on the 2014 season, Green Bay has more talented wide receivers than it knows what to do with.  Throughout the Mike McCarthy era, the Packers have generally kept five wide receivers...
