Texans Waive John Beck
The Houston Texans have waived third string quarterback John Beck to clear room for the recent addition of safety Troy Nolan. Beck who won a spot on the roster with his good play during the 2012 preseason and was an asset with his knowledge of the offense.
The move comes as a bit of surprise especially with the quarterback situation from last season and the injuries that happened...
SOTT talks to John Beck
After Wednesday’s practice we had a chance to talk to quarterback John Beck, and it was a great experience to sit and pick the mind of this 6 year pro.
Beck let us into his transition from Washington to Houston and how much he has to work to get Kubiak’s offense, also he said how great it was to be in a situation building off from last season, and he also let us know how important...
Beck competing for Texans back-up QB spot
A team coming off of a playoff season is unlikely to have a plethora of position battles, but some of the competition for back-up jobs can get interesting.
Presuming that Matt Schaub's surgically repaired foot allows him to open the season as the starter and presuming that T. J. Yates would have to have a miserable training camp to lose the back-up job, only one quarterback...

Redskins draft Kirk Cousins, cut John Beck
The Washington Redskins drafted former Michigan State quarterback Kirk Cousins in the fourth round of the NFL draft on Saturday. They clearly brought him in to back up their second overall pick, Robert Griffin III.
The Redskins got great value by taking Cousins in the fourth round and let’s face it, he’s insurance in case Griffin is a bust or becomes injury prone at the NFL...
John Beck remains confident, amazing
The confidence of John Beck is a rare and amazing thing. It’s the type of confidence that got pyramids built, that allowed men to create the Panama Canal, that gave the world Diet Coke with Lime and Chia Pets and LMFAO. It’s otherworldly, ethereal, something felt more than analyzed, something to sip in slowly, savoring the warming glow as it spreads to your tingling extremities...

Redskins’ John Beck still not counting himself out
The season didn’t go anything like quarterback John Beck had envisioned. He, like all of his teammates, wishes he could have a do-over. But even though he opened the season as the backup, went winless in three mid-season starts and wound up on the bench again, Beck remains confident that his best football remains ahead of him.

When used properly marketing can be a powerful thing. Here are details, per a press release sent to the [...]
John Beck says another week of practice will make a big difference
John Beck is so focused on moving forward from Sunday’s 33-20 loss at Carolina that he initially declined Wednesday to analyze what he learned from his first start as a Redskin, and his first in nearly four years.
“I think it’s a mindset,” Beck said. “That’s why -- I didn’t mean to step on your question there -- but I think if all of us just have the mindset that...
