Tom Lewand will be a busy man at the NFL combine this week. While Lions coaches, scouts and team doctors have their hands full with medical checks and prospect evaluations, Lewand's focus will be on more urgent matters -- re-signing some of his team's four pending free-agent starters.

The NFL remains committed to broadening its international appeal, perhaps playing two games in London as early as next year and returning to other foreign markets like Mexico City.
