Los Angeles Kings forward Jarret Stoll has been suspended one game for a hit on the San Jose Sharks’ Ian White. As a result, Stoll will not play tonight.

Stoll got in trouble for supposedly targeting White’s head.
However, the Sharks’ Jason Demers received no punishment for leaping a few feet into Kings forward Ryan Smyth, clearly hitting him in the head.

By not suspending Demers, the NHL was not keeping in line with its usual policy of punishing players who leave their feet to deliver a hit and those who aim said hits toward their opponents’ heads, and Kings head coach Terry Murray is well aware of this.
