The Nashville Predators will be coming to your television set three times more this season than 2011-12. Fox Sports Tennessee, SportSouth and NBCSports Network, in combination, will show the Predators seventy-three of eighty-two games. All forty-one games on the road will be on TV, so there is the potential that a few fans won't miss a single game, period or goal.  “On the heels of last season’s long-term extension with FOX Sports Tennessee, we have once again teamed up to provide our fans with unprecedented access to the Predators on TV,” Predators Executive Vice President Chris Parker said in Tuesday's press release. “With 70 regular-season games, Predators Snapshot, Predators LIVE and other ancillary programming, FOX Sports Tennessee and SportSouth remain the premier networks in providing Preds fans with the most comprehensive coverage before, during and after games.” Sixty-five of Nashville's games will be on Fox Sports Tennessee, while SportSouth will air five and NBCSports shows three. After a mediocre last year with post-game Predators LIVE! with Terry Crisp and Stu Grimson as hosts, it there will be a different spin on it for home games this season. The following is a paragraph from the press release. The FOX Sports Tennessee broadcast duo of play-by-play announcer Pete Weber and analyst Terry Crisp enter their 16th season calling Predators’ action. Mark Howard enters his sixth season with the broadcast team, this year serving as on-air host for all Predators home games on FOX Sports Tennessee. Stu Grimson joins the broadcast in a new capacity this season as well, serving as rink-side reporter for all televised home games. In addition to game telecasts, the entire broadcast team will take part in Predators LIVE, an extended post-game coverage show after every game on FOX Sports Tennessee. Predators players and personnel will also be featured in FOX Sports Tennessee original programs such as Predators Snapshot. It is about time Fox Sports will be providing a studio reporter to talk about the happenings around the leagues with highlight packages. Also, this could be a strength for Mark Howard since he won't have to think on his toes about hockey and asking brutal questions to players outside the locker room. Stu Grimson could be a great fit with his hockey knowledge and experience. So far on the radio, he has done a phenomenal job. All games will be televised in high definition for your viewing pleasure as well.
