  • An Honest Headline would have said Avery was ACCUSED OF as there is not direct proof that is was Avery who used hookers.

In America one used to be innocent until proven guilty but now when it comes to tabloid sleaze

I wonder how you would feel if someone accused you of something that you did not do and posted your name and picture on the front page of the newspaper?

I am no Avery fan but it is classless for the Daily News to put his name and picture on the front page but honest journalism is disappearing with each passing day..

  • This is why one needs to think long and hard about how they word things as lookie here Sean Avery actually could be innocent and the supposed electronic black book a fraud.

One has to wonder if the same speed used to trash Avery will used to show his innocence.
I for one doubt it because clearing someone's name means some people need to take back things they said or reported.
  • If someone has their name cleared it usually is one the back page on the paper in really small print. It's too bad either way.

Playoffs? Playoffs? Jagr To Speak To Russian GM Next Week

Today in the Daily News, John Dellapina informs us that Jagr is open to meeting with Bardin at some point next week. Frankly, it's absurd, and no one in the dressing room or the front office can be too pleased about it. According to Dellapina, Jagr has hinted in recent weeks that he believes the Rangers are unlikely to resign him. If true, this Garden parishioner couldn...

How to fight when you don't want to fight

Inspired by Jonathan Roy, this blog post looks at what to do when forced to fight. The nine options range from the good ("beat down opponent, then leave like it was no big deal," aka the Mr. Miyagi) to not-so-good ("defecate on ice, fling poo," aka the Sean Avery). Helpful YouTube clips of pro athletes demonstrating each method are included.
