Toronto Maple Leafs GM Brian Burke was on the Fan 590's Hockeycentral, a hockey radio program out of Toronto, on Wednesday afternoon. And let's just say he wasn't in the best mood ever. When asked about the Leafs being mathematically eliminated from the playoffs on Tuesday night, Burke said the Leafs are a bunch of failures."I'm sour," Burke told Hockeycentral, "It is a day of failure. The yardstick for success in this league is playoffs, and when you miss it that represents failure."Okay so I get why he's mad. It sucks to miss the playoffs. But hands up, who actually thought the Leafs would make the playoffs this year? **tumbleweed rolls by** That's what I thought. At least Toronto did terribly enough to be in the John Tavares sweepstakes right? What's that? They won a bunch of games down the stretch to at least try and make the playoffs and are now completely out of the running to get John Tavares? **countdown to Brian Burke meltdown in 3...2..1...**

It may provide a little hope for the 22 year old to one day get it. GOALTENDER AND GAMES PLAYED IN THE AHL/IHL:Manny Fernandez 246 Tim Thomas 242 (includes...
