The "Siren Sounder" before the game will be Julie Walker, the wife of Canes' forward Scott Walker, and their children, Cooper and Anna. Julie Walker was diagnosed with cervical cancer this year but has had successful surgery and is recovering.

Carolina Hurricane forward Erik Cole will miss 4 to 6 weeks, after an MRI revealed a fracture in his lower left leg, TSN is reporting. The injury occured in the third period of Saturday nights loss to the Boston Bruins, when Cole collided with Boston defensemen Dennis Wideman.
