With the first pick of the 2003 NHL Entry Draft the Pittsburgh Penguins selected 18 year old goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury from the QMJHL.
Almost immediately Fleury was labeled as the future in net for the Pens.
Fleury made his NHL debut for the Pens during the 2003-2004 season at the age of 19. During his first NHL stint he looked like a fish out of water while backstopping an awful Pittsburgh team.
A lot has changed since then.
The Penguins drafted players like Sidney Crosby, Evgeni Malkin, and Jordan Staal. They have been to the Stanley Cup Finals twice and one it all in 2009.
