The Flyers unveiled their Winter Classic Jerseys today in dramatic fashion, having players from the team shatter a block of ice to reveal what they will wear on the January 1st outdoor game against the Bruins at Fenway Park. As expected, the team went with a classic white jersey, a counterpart to the classic orange jerseys they will be wearing at home this season.It's a shame...

Kinda weird that the Flyers still have not "officially" opened training camp - they don't hit the ice until Sunday _ and yet this afternoon we will have some Flyers posing for the cameras.
Today, between 1:45 and 2 p.m., the NHL and Flyers will unveil the Winter Classic jersey at Skate Zone. I have no idea what the jersey looks like.

Because there has not been a single scrimmage at Flyers rookie/prospects camps - as originally planned - it's impossible to say who stands out.
All these players are doing are developmental drills and doing through skill sessions.
But this update is significant. Simon Gagne is scrimmaging today with the veterans. Each morning, they go on the ice for about an hour or more...

The vets were trickling into Skate Zone on Saturday for physicals.
Mike Richards is back from a hometown event in Kenora, Ont., and was in great spirits. He got a kick - as did we - watching the Flyers' Ice Babes tryouts.
Some of the things they made these girls do was a bit odd given all they have to do on the ice is clean up spray chips, and skate backwards.
