Kuklas Korner:
Vomit. Khan(!) Bad news on the Johan Franzen injury front: The Red Wings just announced that the big forward will be out a minimum of four months after sustaining a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee during Thursday’s 3-2 win over Chicago.General manager Ken Holland said the team has recalled Justin Abdelkader from Grand Rapids (AHL). Holland said he doesn’t know how or when Franzen was injured. “I’m a little surprised because he finished the game,’’ Holland said. “He said after the game the knee was bothering him and didn’t know exactly when he injured it. The doctor said it was before he scored his goal. If you weren’t shotgunning a beer by the time you got to the 8th word in that story, then you’re not my friend.
