  Everyone is upset about staal getting a contract extension at 4 mill. a year. staal would be a no. one guy on a lot of teams. he has malkin and sid ahead of him.if the pens traded staal it would be stupid.Let me explain satan makes 3.5 million a year. he has 3 pts more than staal. satan is 34 years old .staal is 20. fedetenko is 29 years old and makes 2.275 a year and staal has more pts. sykora is a great player but is a free agent after this season and he makes 2.5 and will get more next year wherever he plays and is 32 years old.staal is 20.there is no guareentee gonchar will be back next year he makes 6 million a year.gonchar is 34. Matt cooke is 30 years old I think I made my point.staal plays pretty good defense also. better than satan,fedetenko, cooke, etc. staal is only 20 and people have to realize we can have staal malkin and the kid for a long time. staal can play 15 years and still only be 35. if we get 15 years out of satan he will be 49.
