Atlanta Thrashers star Ilya Kovalchuk is expected to miss four weeks with a broken bone in his right foot.
The team said the break was found in a CT scan on Monday.
Kovalchuk was injured when he was struck by a puck during the first period of Saturday's game against the San Jose Sharks. He is tied for second in the league with nine goals.

Thrashers star Ilya Kovalchuk has a broken bone in his right foot and is expected to miss four weeks, the team announced Monday.
Kovalchuk underwent a CT scan on Monday morning to confirm the diagnosis.

I wanted to share a couple of videos that came from the Thrashers locker room Tuesday. The first is this one in which captain Ilya Kovalchuk discussed the broken bone in his right foot, which will keep him out for a month or so.
Not too much noteworthy rgarding the injuiry itself, but I do like the fact that he plans on traveling with his teammates as they play in Ottawa...
