Oilers website has just posted the news: Liam Reddox and Ryan Potulny are in the show again.Edmonton has been playing shorthanded for several reasons in the last few weeks. Injury, flu and coach Quinn's reluctance to use Steve MacIntyre meant a real lack of depth up front. Reddox is developing into a useful 2-way player at the AHL level and has shown some things in the big leagues (although certainly not to the point where Quinn can rely on him in important situations). Reddox (incredibly) is not a fan favorite, owing to MacT's using him in all situations during his rookie season.Potulny had the big season (38 goals) a year ago in Springfield and came to the organization from the Flyers (Danny Syvret trade). Where they'll slot in is anyone's guess, but based on last game (against the Rangers) the two candidates to come out of the lineup might be Robert Nilsson and Steve MacIntyre.

Oilers at Avalanche, G17, 09-10

In Quebec province the men go about their business in about the same way as guys do in this part of the country. Always time for a beer or a glance at a pretty girl, always time to talk some Canadian football (believe it or not, Quebec is the new heartland of Canadian football) and hockey holds a special place.I've never really been able to get behind any kind of animosity toward...

Aaron Musick: Avs get penalty killed.

The Avs got killed tonight by their own lack of discipline. The Avs took eight penalties for 16 minutes and the Edmonton Oilers went 4-for-8 on them, routing the Avs 5-3. The Avs' penalty kill has been a strength of this team but tonight was pretty awful from the crease on out. For the first time this year, Craig Anderson didn't look good at all. He couldn't...

Avalanche vs Oilers - Game Preview

The Oilers are on a 3-game losing streak and I always say that the longer a streak goes, the more likely it is to end. Unless you're Carolina, of course. But I don't expect Edmonton's streak to end tonight. I'm feeling good. I believe the Avs are feeling good. And I believe they'll still be feeling it from their come-from-behind victory against the Blackhawks...
