Ron Wilson made a rather drastic move the other day, demoting rookies Matt Carle and
Steve Bernier to the AHL. Sounds like ho-hum news, until you consider that both of them were potential calder finalists. Carle was leading the Sharks in Defensive scoring, while Bernier is 4th on the team in scoring.
They've both struggled a bit lately, but was there a need for a move this drastic?
This move will either completely destroy their confidence. Or make them better players, and be a great thing to keep their heads in check. Of course, the Sharks, for the time being will be hurting their team a bit because of this, although they do have tremendous depth.
