Ray Emery once looked like a goaltender destined for great success in the NHL. The seemingly lone controversial figure in the NHL had the swagger and tone of someone with a little more than a chip on their shoulder. Unfortunately for Emery, he never seemed to get over the hump of backup goaltender.
