Welcome to The Flying Frenchmen here on MTR!  We will be covering all news relevant to the Montreal Canadiens and we will explore their history, greatest moments, great teams, great players and anything else you can think of when it comes to the Flying Frenchmen.  I hope you enjoy this blog.  I will have my opinions at times and please feel free to share yours as well.  Last night was a great night for the Habs as they pounded the Islanders goal with 43 shots while the Islanders answered with 22 attempts themselves.  Gomez and Bergeron scored in the 1rst with Pacioretty making it 3-0 with a goal in the 2nd. The third period saw Camalleri and  Lapierre  both put up goals while the Islanders got one on a misplay by Halak. However, Halak had a very good night otherwise with 21 saves.   It was some impressive Hockey by the Habs last night and I loved how from the get go they went on the offense pounding shots on the goal.
