DENVER(AP) Seeing Darcy Tucker injured on a check into the boards was bad enough. Colorado coach Joe Sacco tried to make sure things didn't get any worse, urging his team to rein in its emotions after seeing Tucker taken off the ice on a backboard.

Darren Dreger just sent a tweet that Darcy Tucker received 40 stitches after hitting his head on the ice and will likely be out for 10 days.That's a lot of stitches but it's good that he is already out of the hospital after being patched up.10 days of time would mean he could be back for the Nov 4th game against the Avalanche. First off I hate checks from behind and I am not a big Darcy Tucker fan but that check was unnecessary.
