The Buffalo Sabres have indeed waived veteran winger. Mair has been a healthy scratch of late and Darcy Regier has waived him in order to test for echo. Mair can be claimed off waivers in the next twenty four hours. If he passes through, he can play on Kevin Dineen's squad in Portland.
