Mair’s Office Gets Relocated
Looks like Adam Mair will be likely heading to Portland as he has cleared waivers.
I have to admit to being a bit surprised he made it through, but then again most teams have their fourth-line-guy-who-tries-really-hard-and-makes-750K-per-year-and-likes-to-fight. So, he’s off to Portland.
On thing that waiving Mair accomplished that I failed to consider yesterday was giving the Sabres [...]

Sabres Kick Sens In The Groin
This is why the Stanley Cup playoffs rule!
Ottawa was up over Buffalo 5-4 late....verrrrrry late....in Game 1 of their Conference Semifinal series. With 1:47 remaining in the game, the Sabres Derek Roy scores a SHORTHANDED GOAL to tie the thing up. Amazing.

Relocation of an office?
Mair’s office has been a staple at HSBC arena for many a season now. The fans in section 325 might need a new moniker to put up behind their seats.

Buffalo Sabres Water Cooler Points, 11/9/09
Now I know how Andrej Sekera feels after a week with the flu. Yuck. Maybe I should burn my bedsheets, too… After a weekend where the Sabres played as badly as I felt, I don’t have too much to say as I didn’t watch the games...Read the full article on Bleacher Report...
GARTH: ADAM WHERE??!!
The Buffalo Sabres have indeed waived veteran winger.
Mair has been a healthy scratch of late and Darcy Regier has waived him in order to test for echo. Mair can be claimed off waivers in the next twenty four hours. If he passes through, he can play on Kevin Dineen's squad in Portland.
A Gentler Lindy Ruff
from Bucky Gleason of the Buffalo News,
Just before the season, Lindy Ruff pulled his leaders aside and told them they needed to take over the Buffalo Sabres’ dressing room. He made it clear that he was finished barking after every poor performance. This was their team, he told them, and taking ownership was their responsibility.
It was as if Ruff recognized that his style...
Dee Karl: Matt Moulson: Media Darling
Itâ??s been a rough ride to the NHL for Mighty Matt as he is called by one of my Twitterverse friends. But within only a few weeks heâ??s gone from Matt â??Who?" to the Islandersâ?? leading point scorer and best interview. Being friends with John Tavares doesnâ??t hurt, but he also isnâ??t languishing in JTâ??s shadow. He is making quite a name for himself in the media...
