Much like the tides, the Flyers of 2009-10 ebb and flow between the win and loss column in three game stretches.  After starting off the season hot, they cooled like a sandy dune come nightfall... only to start ramping it up in the last two games.  Injuries and a wonky schedule could very well be the cause of this consistent inconsistency, and we have yet to see the team get their sea legs.  Swimming their way up to the Wachovia center tonight are the San Jose Sharks for a rare West coast visit.  Thornton, Marleau and Heatley, who's fresh off a summer of pouting, pose as the offensive threats up front, while ageless wonder Rob Blake and director of the PP (not Slum Dog Millionaire) Dan Boyle bring it from the blue-line.  Flyers Captain Mike Richards will avoid suspension and skate tonight after an attempt to "separate opposing forward David Booth from the puck" last night ended up separating the Florida Panther from his consciousness in a 5-1 Flyers win.  Congrats to Flyers rookie Junior Varsity (JVR) and veteran Simon Gagne for scoring their first NHL goal and goal of the season respectively.  After the JUMP, a completely unnecessary photoshop.  Enjoy the game.

A player needs to know where they are at all times...
