As detailed in my wee-hours Friday morning post, my wife and I were in Section 423 for the Frozen Four -- and most of the section was filled with Boston University students. We had an absolute blast Thursday night... so you can imagine, given the unbelievable championship game and BU's OT victory, Saturday night was even better. So, as we Capitals fans gear up for the playoffs, here's one final, fond look back at one of the best games ever played in the Phone Booth. First we have the Capitals' Drum Line, decked out in NCAA gear, playing in front of the arena (once it starts playing, click the little HD button along the bottom for better video quality): The NCAA thoroughly "rebranded" the Verizon Center for the event (e.g., the rafters), and it wasn't limited to the public areas.
